Signia MaX

The Signia Pure Charge&Go MaX is the first hearing aid built on Signia's Multi-adaptive Xperience platform, using four coordinated AI neural networks to help you follow group conversations in noise while staying connected to the world around you.

Signia MaX

We're pleased to offer the Signia Pure Charge&Go MaX at Kalady Audiology in Beaufort, SC. The Pure Charge&Go MaX is the first hearing aid built on Signia's new Multi-adaptive Xperience (MaX) platform, which uses artificial intelligence not for a single task but to guide the entire listening experience.

Four AI Networks Working Together

Most hearing aids apply AI to one job, usually reducing background noise. Signia MaX takes a broader approach with what the company calls Acoustic Intelligence, a system of four task-specific Deep Neural Networks that run continuously and share information with one another. Each network handles a different part of the listening picture:

  • Speech Detection identifies speech and your conversation partners
  • Own Voice Detection recognizes when you are the one speaking
  • Scene Analysis continuously evaluates your surrounding environment
  • Noise Processing analyzes the type and location of noise to decide how aggressively it should be reduced

Because these networks coordinate rather than work in isolation, the hearing aids form a more complete picture of what's happening around you before deciding how to process sound.

Designed for Difficult Group Conversations

Following a conversation when several people are talking and noise is coming from multiple directions is one of the hardest listening situations for anyone with hearing loss. MaX is built specifically for these moments. Its RealTime Conversation Enhancement AI locates and enhances multiple talkers as the conversation moves around a table, while Own Voice Processing AI ensures your own voice sounds natural, without the calibration step earlier Signia hearing aids required.

In Signia-sponsored research, 97% of participants performed better with MaX in noisy group conversations compared with key competitors. As with all manufacturer-cited results, these are promising findings that still need to be weighed alongside your own real-world performance.

A More Powerful Chip and Broad Connectivity

Running four neural networks at once requires substantial processing power. Signia reports that the new MaX chip provides 54 times more processing power, twice the memory, and 50% greater energy efficiency than the previous Signia IX platform, which is what allows Acoustic Intelligence to stay active all day rather than being reserved for a special mode. The rechargeable design offers up to 30 hours of battery life depending on use, and ships with a pocket-size portable charger that stores up to four full charges. A 30-minute quick charge provides up to six hours of use.

Connectivity is handled by Signia's OneConnect Technology, which combines Bluetooth Classic, Bluetooth LE Audio, and telecoil in a single hearing aid, along with Auracast-capable hardware. Please note that full Auracast functionality will be enabled through a Signia app firmware update expected by March 2027, so it is not active at launch.

Is Signia MaX Right for You?

The Pure Charge&Go MaX is worth considering if you want a premium rechargeable hearing aid and your biggest challenges involve restaurants, social events, meetings, and other settings with multiple talkers and background noise. Its broad connectivity also makes it a strong choice if you want a device ready to work across current and emerging wireless audio systems. That said, the most advanced hearing aid is not automatically the best one for every person, and your hearing test results, ear anatomy, and listening needs all matter in the decision.
