Oticon Reveal is a next-generation rechargeable hearing aid whose dual-AI system analyzes speech and environmental sound separately, then blends them in real time to deliver clearer conversation without disconnecting you from the world around you.
We're pleased to offer Oticon Reveal at Kalady Audiology in Beaufort, SC. Oticon Reveal is the company's next-generation rechargeable receiver-in-canal hearing aid, built around a new dual-AI sound-processing system designed to deliver clearer speech while preserving the meaningful sounds of the world around you.
Many hearing aids treat background sound as something to eliminate. Oticon Reveal takes a different path, working to find an individualized balance between speech clarity and environmental awareness. Oticon refers to this as your "balance point," the setting where conversation comes through clearly while you remain aware of what's happening around you, whether that's a family member speaking from another room or traffic approaching on the street.
This balance is achieved through two artificial intelligence systems working together in real time. Speech AI analyzes and enhances the speech in your environment, while Context AI preserves the surrounding sounds that carry meaning and spatial information. The two systems evaluate your sound environment every two milliseconds and coordinate with one another, a process that takes place in what Oticon calls the Reveal AI Clarifier. This represents Oticon's third generation of AI-based hearing technology, following the Oticon More and Oticon Intent platforms.
Feedback, the whistling sound that can occur when amplified sound escapes the ear and re-enters the microphone, has long limited how much amplification a hearing aid can comfortably deliver. The Reveal Optimizer is Oticon's updated feedback-prevention system, offering faster and more precise control than previous platforms. In practical terms, better feedback management provides additional headroom in the high frequencies, which means your audiologist may be able to deliver more of the amplification your hearing loss actually calls for. This is especially relevant if you prefer an open or vented fitting, where the ear canal is left less occluded for a more natural feeling.
Reveal also continues to use 4D sensor technology, which evaluates both your listening environment and your own behavior, such as head movement and conversational activity, before determining how sound should be processed. The result is a hearing aid that adapts to what you're actually doing rather than responding to the acoustics alone.
Oticon Reveal includes a redesigned connectivity platform and radio transmitter, with improved wireless streaming range and connection stability compared with previous Oticon models. Connectivity features include:
A new Streaming Comfort feature automatically reduces surrounding environmental sound while audio is streaming, helping phone calls, music, and podcasts stay clear and prominent without requiring you to turn the volume up. The amount of reduction can be adjusted through the mobile app or set by your audiologist in the fitting software.
Reveal uses Oticon's premium charging hardware, with both a desktop charger and a portable travel charger available. It comes in several standard colors, including a new Deep Plum option that replaces the previous blue.
A new Oticon CROS transmitter is being introduced alongside the Reveal platform. A CROS system is designed for patients with little or no usable hearing in one ear, routing sound from the poorer ear to the better ear. The new transmitter works with both the Reveal desk charger and travel charger, uses near-field magnetic induction and Bluetooth Low Energy Audio, supports dual streaming, applies signal processing on the transmitter side, and remains backward compatible with supported Oticon products. Being able to use matching chargers for both devices is a meaningful convenience for daily use and travel.
Reveal is likely to be a strong fit if you value natural, open sound quality, continued awareness of your surroundings, speech clarity that does not come at the cost of removing environmental sound, open or vented fittings, strong feedback management, and reliable wireless connectivity.
